I am not Indian so I can't comment on the cultural context, but if I were an artist playing such rhythmic and evocative music, I would view it as the highest compliment that the audience wants to get up and dance in whatever fashion inspires them. Great music isn't meant only to be experienced with stilted reverence as though in a stuffy concert hall. Such purported "respect" actually impoverishes the experience for both audience and musician. If the music moves you, then move!
