5 North to 163 North that NO ONE can use properly.
1-Hey! Let's all be dumb asses and get bumper to bumper!
2-I'm really smart! I'm gonna stay over to the right as long as possible! I need to be first!
3-Geez I'm almost in the Ice plants. I can't get in! #no fair!
4-Wow, 2 minutes of my life I'll never get back.
San Diego Dumbasses, JUST GET OVER TO THE LEFT AS YOU TRANSITION FROM THE 5 AND FOLLOW AT A SAFE DISTANCE. Then the merging traffic you'll encounter will be easier to deal with, shit!

Great video. The viaduct at 0:30 actually precedes the freeway. It was built for the 1915 Exposition. This was one of my favorite freeways when I grew up in SD.

The plane flying by at the beginning makes it look cool :)

can u give me the 'interstate' font plz? i really want it badly!!
Hey Brent do you mean HOV lane? What's HOT?
norcoboy 1 year ago
@norcoboy: You definitely have the right idea. A HOT lane is essentially the same thing as an HOV lane, except that HOT stands for High-Occupancy Toll. Carpools are allowed to use the lane(s) for free, while single-occupancy (i.e. driver only) vehicles may pay a toll to use the lane(s).

The short stretch of hwy 160 from I-80 (Business 80 or Capitol City wachamacallit...) near Exposition Blvd. into downtown Sacramento via 12th St. is of a similar 1940s vintage and is quite scenic especially during the spring. There are no viaducts though, all the water is in the American river or flooding Discovery Park.

Funny you mention this, because Business I-80 is going to be one of my next videos. :-) (I currently live in Granite Bay)

I'm running on 2 hours of sleep, due to Black Friday, so excuse me here. I meant to say that I'm going to be featuring both Business I-80, AND CA 160 videos, in the near future.
