The Lenovo development team runs a battery of stress tests on every ThinkPad before it ever goes to market. Why? See for yourself. In our latest ThinkPad torture test--the classic water spill--the ThinkPad T410 continues unaffected while the HP 8440p fails after 9 seconds.

  • I' ve just tested with beer.

The computer still works, the keyboard doesn"t

  • @pogoboy123 I once spilled about 20 ounces of orange juice on the corner of my lenovo laptop directly over the fan/cpu/heatsink power adapter receptacle during a conference. the laptop went blank. pretty much the worst place to spill something and the worst thing to spill as far as drinks are concerned. i took it to the bathroom, shook it to try to get all the liquid out. turned it on an hour later, and it has been running like a dream ever since. this was around 3 years ago.

  • I actually had tomato sauce splatter on my keyboard and managed to clean it off....I had the laptop a good foot away with a recipe on screen but unfortunately the sauce bubbled and landed on part of the keyboard. Things happen even when you're careful. My laptop still works...XD

  • so this laptop can pee?

  • But will it blend?

  • chuck Norris laptop !

  • HP sucks. Lenovo & Asus are my top picks. I used to dislike Dell and I liked HP a lot, but after being in IT for a year working on many laptops, I've found that Dell is much better than HP. I had an HP laptop actually break on me while working on it.

  • I fucking hate this i tried this with my thinkpad t61 7663 and it broke >:(

  • that's just painfull

  • @TheWestto A little hard do this when you own and operate a cafe. This feature of Thinkpad is invaluable to me and my business.

  • My T61 did not survive wine torture test... Sorry...

  • @WindyJetful You "dare" me; wow, what are you, three? Besides, it is not a matter of drinking around electronics, it is a matter of being careful enough to not spill food or liquids on them.

People are morons, it has to do nothing with the designs of things - although the designs of things have to do lots with people being morons. But of course, lazy humans always want others to accommodate for their lack of skills or inability to pay attention.
