looooove Ms Roy and read all her books from Mauritania. she really cares about poor people

She is an anarchist and she openly rejects democracy. Yes, some of her points are valid and correct n ougth to be taken serious notice. But as a whole her ideas tends towards "LUNACY"

@reddymatt I'm not defending the government. But let me digress a sec. These institutions like the government, parliament and judiciary are OUR institutions. We criticize them when they do not function for the benefit of our citizens but we must not weaken them. Dialogue should strenthen them. Now your question, I agree intentions behind the setting up of a JLB are good. But we must look beyond it. Can't this being misused against those its meant to protect? Who'll watch JanLokpal?Another bill?

Dekho madam kitni hoshiyaar hain.Sab seekho inse........

@reddymatt are you out of your mind? She is speaking for the poorest of the poor and has no interest in the upper classes of the society. You have clearly not read her essays. I would urge you to read some. If you have, reread.

@VyoamX she doesn't say that the anti-corruption movement by itself is of little value. She challenges the definition of corruption by the movement which comes from an accountant's imagination. She is challenging the law endorsed by the movement, and how it further dis-empowers the majority of the Indians who are outside the legality. And the list goes on.
-
@VyoamX Non-existent irregularities? You must be kidding. Give an example. She has criticized not all Hindus but the Hindu right wing groups that have had a violent past. If you don't subscribe to those retrograde ideologies of Hindutva, then why bother. If you do, then look who's accusing Roy of narrow mindedness!
-
In every topic she discusses about, she find out irregularities (sometimes non-existent), blows them out of proportion and proceeds to justify her far-left ideas. And I have a big problem with her passionate criticism of the Hindus. Isn't that a very narrow mindset madam?

She can't be called a voice of sanity in midst of an aggressive crowd. Her views are half-baked, lazy and extremely pessimistic. All she does is talk. Anna's team is always open to suggestions from all people and have been patient in spite of all the forces against them. Why doesn't she offer her valuable advice in correcting the bill? Saying that the anti-corruption movement is of little value is outright ridiculous. Instead of finding out mistakes, why can't she give some proper advice?

One of the few sane and brave voices...
Excellently analyzed and articulated the imminent questions against the blind follower crowd.
I love her bold statement that it's not the large crowd that impresses her. And the fact that media is just raising their TRP in the disguise of campaigning.
Hey Media people, if you were really campaigning so much, then why were you also showing advertisements and commercial breaks between the campaign?

Every activist in the country is wondering why we couldn't get this same attention. Now Pick holes in the movement, throw in some lucid explanantion and you are back as an activist. Not one movement in last 40yrs has caused people to step out and take a stand. They were not hooligans. Crowd was an example of courteous behaviour. They were self motivated angry people in a peaceful protest. BTW which govt hospital does she go to? since she questions Anna going to a private hospital.
