@ilovegoatsecks its a gas motor
and horsepower is a function of RPM and torque...500 ftlb torque @500 rpm and 50 ftlb trq @ 5000rpm will have the same horsepower rating.
torque yanks you off the line, but horsepower pulls you through 3rd gear on your way to the traps

@ilovegoatsecks Sorry youngman but I am also an ase certified mechanic. Tqe will get you off the line fast, horsepower is what will win it for you in the end. Always has been that way. I have done engine builds on both diesels and gassers and you can make that type of torque with a gasser. Your torque will always be dependant on what size rear end your vehicle has. The bigger the rear the higher your torque rateing will be. Always been that way too.

@CSXtrackworker haha are you serious?!?! the same horsepower and torque? a general rule of thumb about diesels (as im sure you're aware as a csx track worker)... tq is ALWAYS more than HP. if this was a diesel with 1000+hp his tq would be 1500-1800. tq is what makes a vehicle go. put a 100hp honda versus a 4BT cummins engine with 105hp.... and see who the winner is
