I had the honor of meeting Master Hokama yesterday at his Dojo in Okinawa. He's very polite & enjoyed talking to us. I also enjoyed exploring his Karate museum...it was an eye opening event! Thanks for posting.

@latuacantante121 you have a good point ^_^
I'[ll just have to look harder ^_^

@dozyvan Well, I live in Australia, and Hokama comes here at least once a year and teaches a few classes, and our shihan teaches us the basics anyway (it's predominantly a Karate dojo, but he does teach bits of weapons use, we have bo's, sai, shinai, etc). So if Australia has teaching like that going on, surely Ireland would SOMEWHERE.

I live in Ireland and i wonder if i can learn it here =o

That's my teacher's teacher! He's so fast--there's a video of him doing Suparinpei and it's amazing. :)

agree

Such skill and dexterity. It saddens me knowing that the arts of Bojutsu are practically extinct in the States.

insane? sucked? jujutsu mor effective than karate?
where is your respect? where is the first thing u r supposed to learn from your martial arts?
martial artists look for peace...it is obvious u dont practice a martial art but only something alike...u practice sports with martial art movements.

He's down in Sydney now visiting our dojo, I get to train with him for a week... gonna be awesome :D
This is an immature comment that has no basis.
Modern Ninjitsu is mostly made up by Americans while in Japan, it is not considered legitimate.

Apparently it is you that needs to get your facts straight. Okinawan karate-do is a premier martial art, however, Japan had quite a number themselves and they conquered Okinawa with them (Satsuma clan). No? then explain kendo, jujitsu, naganata-do, yawara etc.
