I am a catholic and I made my research about catholicism and I read the Holy Bible...I think I am being blinded and deceived by my religion..now I consider myself as free (no religion) but I believe in God, I only believe in what the Holy Bible says.

It all boils down to what you believe about Jesus Christ and that we understand the time of his visitation and hearken to him for salvation, I dont know about you but I want eternal life with him and I would guess that you do also, its a marvelous gift one that we dont even deserve, according to the Bible, which I believe is the true and only oracles of God. Keep reading and asking questions, pray for understanding.

So just what do these idols represent worthy of WORSHIP? Worship God.

Exo 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

2 Timothy 2:15 S T U D Y to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. -- The true Christian church is commanded by God to STUDY the scriptures. We can understand the Bible. Peter tells us that the scriptures are a "more sure word of prophesy" than even the Lord's voice speaking from heaven when He did so on the mount of transfiguration. (2 Peter 1) God magnifies His Word even above His own name. This is what the Bible teaches.

@Jintzftw The statues are not idols. An idol is something that is believed to be a god and so is worshipped as a god. If one is using a statue to represent the one and only divine God, than it is a statue and nothing more.

Insisting that these are idols is the error of telling someone else what they themselves believe in spite of what they tell you they believe.

Sometimes a statue is just a statue, just as a picture of your spouse is just a picture of your spouse and not an idol.

MITIR TOU KYRIOU MOU - the Mother of my LORD (KYRIOS) means GOD here. St. Elizabeth calls her Mother of MY GOD.

BECAUSE CHRIST IS GOD! Everyone who denies that the Virgin Mary is in truth the THEOTOKOS is the enemy of CHRIST because he denies that CHRIST IS TRUE GOD.

1.) The Title THEOTOKOS - BEARER OF GOD - means that CHRIST IS TRUE GOD and TRUE MAN: TWO NATURES ín ONE PERSON = JESUS CHRIST. Also called hypostatic Union. TWO NATURES IN ONE PERSON.

Since the Virgin has borne a CHILD and not a NATURE and SHE IS IN TRUTH the MOTHER OF CHRIST and CHRIST IS ALSO GOD - IT IS ORTHODOX (CORRECT FAITH) TO CALL HER:

MOTHER OF GOD

It does not mean that She is the Mother of the Trinity

1.) IT IS NOT "MY" Point - it is the "point" of the CHURCH OF CHRIST - we do not follow personal opinions

2.) THE BIBLE - where does the Bible come from ha? FROM THE HOLY CHURCH OF CHRIST and not from Sects. The Holy Fathers have "created" the bible - they have collected the writings and different books - THEY HAE ESTABLISHED THE CANONS

3.) CHRIST HAS A MOTHER - because HE was borne in Bethlehem. U deny his HOLY INCARNATION?

Nice quotes from the Bible! Why do u not quote ALL THOSE VERSES WHERE GOD ORDERED TO MAKE STATUES AND FIGURES? Wow - YES GOD ORDERED TO MAKE FIGURES AND STATUES.

The Temple was so full of Statues and Figures: on the WALLS, ON THE CURTAINS, on the DOORS, in the Most Holy two VERY BIG STATUES on the Arc ...

EVERYWHERE in the Temple u could find FIGURES AND STATUES! Wow nice ha?

But Protestantism is DECEPTION. The Rebellion against CHRIST. God-haters - Ego-worshippers. The Enemy of CHRIST and God.

The Most Holy Mother of God WAS ALWAYS HONORED BY ALL CHRISTIANS. This is not a "catholic" thing. In ALL ANCIENT CHURCHES: Holy Orthodox Church, Oriental Churches, Catholic Church etc...the Mother of God is HONORED.

So to deny that FACT is to deny APOSTOLIC TEACHING.
