Wohl nicht schlecht der Airbag, aber (wie schon geschrieben wurde) wenn man mal ausversehen einen heftigen Schlenker oder ganz leichten Sturz mit dem Fahrrad macht geht das Teil direkt auf und 400 Euro hängen dir um den Hals :-)

I've read the blurb. No mention of the strength of the airbag's shell and how much impact it can take before bursting. Also, note: all the models are in winter gear. How does it look/feel on a hot summer's day?

And falling off a bike at a gentle pace is relatively common and often leaves no scars. If every minor fall is accompanied by a €400 bill, who but the week-end lycra gang can afford it?

Advantage is big for those who feel suffocated by a helmet, though. Or who fear a bad hair day.

Technically brilliant, but I think this offers far less protection than sacrificial styrofoam. I'd say minimal protection for a really serious contact with something like a curb.

Maybe they should try to protude the chin a bit more, and the forehead, so that in a front fall your face doesn't make contact with the ground but the chin and forehead areas of the airbag do instead.

I'm not sure if that doesn't pose a thread the twist the neck in other types of falls though (if you roll on the ground etc).
