Lord Lairds absurd assertion that the lack of signage in Ulster Scots in Kerry and the rest of what he terms "Southern Ireland" shows a lack of parity of esteem between Ulster Scots and Irish Gaelic.
Truth is that they in Ulster hold in no high reguard our dialect of the English language which is Hiberno-English, dreided as bad English by the British and those who aspire to impress them, no more than do our own.
I somehow dont see any chance of Ulster Scots signage in Kerry any of these days, though an argument could be made for it in meath around the Battle of the Boyne site area, hence this tongue in cheeck satire!!!
