Robbies career needed a boost, there is no doubt, but I do think it was a genuine reunion of friendship and banishing the friction of the past.
It would have been silly for Take That to not have Robbies solo big hits in there. Robbie is one of the greatest British live entertainers left, and he deserves to have a chance to whip the crowd into a frenzy.
That was the key to their relationship- realising that Robbie and Gary are equally great leaders/vocalists.

did enjoy the show but it was nowhere near as good as the circus

@Skyclad65 He hasn't left. He never rejoined.
The idea is sometimes they'll release an album as a 5, sometimes as a 4 and sometimes as solo artists.
At the moment Robbie is doing a solo album with Gary writing and producing.

@carys1985
disagree, i thought it was excellent that both acts respected each others individual work before coming together. Rob still stole the show IMO

J Tucker, I disagree. Although Robbie was absolutely brilliant it's his career that needed the boost not take that's everything they have done since they got back together has been a hit yet Robbie's has been in decline
