No, ferrocerium, NaNO3, Mg and a small amount of Fe2O3. It was not a detonation, just a super fast deflag. This amount of AM + ferrocerium would have blown the aluminium plate in tiny pieces =D

When i make a small flash firecracker and place it in the center of my charges it seems to make them louder and more powerful, is it just my imagination?

No, I don't think so. The small firecracker ignites the whole charge much faster than it would do without a small firecracker. Faster ignition and combustion means louder bang.
