@cannelewis - Galatians 4 tells us that the Old Covenant given at Mt. Sinai brings bondage but the New Covenant from Jerusalem above is free. It instructs us to cast out the bondwoman the law given at Mt. Sinai (Galatians 4:21-31) This is not the oral traditions. The oral traditions were later written in the Talmud, but Paul is clear in referring to the Old Covenant as he is in Romans & Hebrews as well.

@dwtolar I would suggest reading Mat 5:17-21, Romans 3:31, Matt 23:3.... All have to do with obeying GODS laws. just as satan told adam and eve you surrly will not die... We have been told the same thing for centuries now. Jesus himself said in mat 7 the lawless will be the departed. Keeping any form of law is not for salvation, but out of obedience to him in love

FYI In the book of Galatians there are 3-4 different laws Paul is referring to. written Torah, oral traditions of the Pharisees, Law of sin and death and law of grace. Most if not all Christians don't know the difference. The law that caused one to fall from grace was the man made oral traditions of the Pharisees and not the written law of God.

This isn't Christian. This is what Paul warned about in the book of Galatians. You have fallen from Grace if you are trying to fulfill the ceremonial law of the Old Testament. Luke 12:23 "Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing."
