Religion or rather a basic fundamentalist view of a persons religion is responsible for the atrocities like 9/11, as these people believed that they were doing gods work. So brainwashed that they lacked any capacity for thinking for themselves that they were willing to kill as many people as they can.

I have stopped half way through watching this video, it was just terrible. This argument by saying these men killed due to lack of faith, is simply ridiculous. The fact that these men were atheists (I'll allow Hitler to be counted because that I really couldn't what his beliefs were) has nothing to do with what they did, they were motivated by a lust for power and hatred.

you're committing a major fallacy of composition. these three people were atheists, and these people we psychopathic murders, therefore, all atheists are psychopathic murders. If you answer 'no' then you cannot blame atheism unless you want to admit that you are simply creating an arbitrary standard for everyone but yourself. If you answer yes you are creating an arbitrary standard for atheism that you don't want to apply to yourself.

Let me ask this question, if we reversed the scenario so that you had (in all three cases) a state based on Atheism in which the leader was considered to be either a diety (Mao, Pol Pot) or the head of the Church, like the Pope (Stalin) and there is a revolution in which a Believer takes control of the country and then slaughters millions, would you blame all of religion? Article 24 of the Nazi's program: Promote "Positive Christianity" against the Jews. Not possible in Atheist state.

Hitler- maybe and mabye if he was raised in the Jewish faith he wouldn't have committed those atrocites

Stalin- hmm maybe he tryed to do that because Jesus did exist he just didnt belive he was a messiah he also said "religion is just an opiate for the masses" and demolished churches and cathedrals throughout the nation

Hitler was raised Catholic, never left the Church, ruled Germany when it was as much a "Christian nation" as the USA was, invoked Christianity in support of the Nazi cause. Get your facts straight.

Hitler - Not an atheist, neither christian. He was described by Himmler as a Anti Christian, however a deeply religious man.

Stalin - For some reason.. He tried to convince his daughter that Jesus exist, strange..

Mao - Well, he was a atheist. But a question.. how are atheism connected to his invidual actions? Stalin and Hitler had moustaches, maybe the moustaches had someting to do with their terrible actions? Doubt it..

people with faith can do terrible things to. You can`t say that every atheist is bad beacause of Stalin. Norway have many atheists and are ranked the best country to live in. Sweden have most atheists the world and they to are ranked very high. Stalin and Mao belived THEY were god, they didn`t like people worship others than them. Thats why they wanted religion removed
