This is the first track on Marie's 1986 CD "I Only Wanted You". It was also the third single from the CD, peaking only at #50 in 1987. I think it is at least top 20. This was also a Paul Davis cover that he sang in 1980.

I love this song so thanks for posting it. I never knew this is a Paul Davis song I only know this version by Marie. I didn't realize it until I looked up his wikipedia page after hearing about his passing and it has it listed as 1980. That sounds about right since I remember Marie singing it on the Children's Miracle Network Telethon in the 80's.

This was the 4th single from the I only wanted you album...after 3 # 1s off this album this single never made it and I dont know why. I like Paul Davis but nobody sings this song like Marie. It is more suited to a woman singer like Marie who pours her heart out on it. No counting for peoples taste that this song never peaked for Marie...

Hi I understand your only 15 But you should never be ashamed. to love her music I like tottally understand because when I was your age some of my friends would tease me and make fun of me as well But I did not care I loved and still love the osmonds I dont care who nows it Let me give you a bit of advice. if kids theasedayss had rolemodels like the osmonds they would not get in to trouble .Think abouat that just think of that for a moment. so dont be ashamed to like her music shes the best

Last year, I went to the used record store and bought this album, since I broke my mom's cassette tape of it by listening to it too much in the past few years T_T

I'm only 15 and I'm a bit ashamed to listen to her music because people make fun of me for it... But she has a beautiful voice :)
