I didn't know this version ( I like it very much ) and I also enjoy the original one, by Traffic. But I still have a preference for the Eric Burdon & The Animals' rendition, on the album " Love Is ".
blood sweat and tears were one of the first traffic cover bands. then they became an entity in themselves. no one can touch the originals, especially the dynamic way winwood does it. not to say that i don't love al kooper. he's great. just that winwood's on another level entirely

This song was written by Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi & Chris Wood and originally appeared on Traffic's debut album, "Mr. Fantasy," in 1967.
