This is the third video in a series that I will be posting, documenting the letters that my father and family members sent home from the Second World War in 1943, 1944 and 1945. This video contains a letter sent from my aunt who was living in Morristown, NJ and made the trip down to Atlantic City to visit with my father.

  • Thanks again for sharing the stories and the letters! It's sad to think that letter writing is becoming a lost art with all the electronic communication these days, that people just tend to delete. 5 star as always! :-)

  • Thank you Caylyn!

  • Again another 5 star for you because I'm loving these letters. Thanks! ~Andree'

  • I am enjoying the letters

  • Great ideas Sue. This is turning out to be a lot of work but worth the effort I think. For now, I've created a blog and am posting the text transcript of the letters there. I've posted the link to the blog over in the description box. Thanks so much for watching! -Jim

  • Jim,

May I make a suggestion ? You need to place these videos on CD and then donate them to your local Genealogy Society. Maybe your family or the families of the soldiers that your Dad served with may be looking some day for information. Also photo copy the letters and place them in a folder and donate those letters. What a treasure you have.... Love.....
