  • @ zomgrugbyreturns Respect to u for your aid work

If u were to travel to places such as Thailand,Nepal or Sri Lanka i think u might meet quite a few lay buddhists who choose not to aspire to a monastic life

Some might reason that by going off into the forest to meditate one is improving one`s mind and as a result more able to teach others to help themselves and others.

My guess is that those who contributed to the purchase of the land felt it money well spent :)

    Peace

  • In all my years travelling the world on voluntary charity and aid missions I've yet to meet a Buddhist. Most are in retreats meditating.

Let me ask you Noah, how much did your land cost? I suspect enough to save at the least hundreds of lifes.

    Something to meditate on.

  • When you change for the better the world changes! "It only takes one spark to set a forest ablaze!" we are all one consciousness and one mind.

  • You can also look at your wish for peace and see reallety. We can change nothing. We are a systhem as a result of evolution. And this system makes that we are allways looking for as little suffering as possible.

This systhem makes you want to suffer for a goal.

And the reallity is not that you are now reading the truth. You are reading characters produced by a systhem, called a human being, named Dirk.

Eventhough, my systhem makes me say that it is good to let others make their own choice.

  • You're setting a good example for everyone to follow.

  • Thank You. Peace & Love. :-)

  • thank you ....and I agree , Namaste

  • If everyone changes themselves for the better, then the world will change. I get a feeling thats not how its going to happen.

  • indeed
