I had an oppossum once who I rescued and kept for about 6 months and then released to the wild away from people and where I knew she was going to be ok. I used to come back every sunday and drop cat food. I pray God every night that she is ok, I think she is cause it was a swamp so she had water and food to eat. I learned they are very sensitive, sweet and do not intend to harm anyone but to leave their lifes alone. God Bless all animals as they are God's creatures

I love opossums, my film group is called "Rabid Possum Productions". Though opossums only in rare cases get rabies. I'm also working on a possum comic book with an artist.

yes they are good pets if u have them since baby stage they are pretty timid too my mom's friend son is a care taker he got one how they eat is cute xD

I was asking the question b/c i didn't know if they made good pets...ur answer seems to say the only problem might be a legal one

in some u can keep them as pet but not all so u should check that 1st i would so keep one xD.

I caught a female with 6 babies on her back in a have a heart trap...maybe i should of kept one before releasing her?

Hi OpossumKnight. Looks like baby opossums are more fun (in the wild) than chinchillas are as pets. I did some reading and I think I'll just stick to having a cat.

I have a cat but the pet I really hanker for is a chinchilla. Unfortunately, I live in a place where summer is hot and humid and winter gets well below thirty. Not opossum or chinchilla territory.

I'm glad you like it. I've looked at a few opossum's on YouTube since I posted this one so I guess that makes me an opossum fan too.
