In this clip from www.artistshousemusic.org - Terry McBride, founder and President of Canada's Nettwerk Music Group, discusses the skills and personality that lend themselves to a career in artist management, as well as the keys to career longevity in the field. He also shares his thoughts on the opportunities that basing your company in a non-major market can present to a shrewd entrepreneur.
Hello Mr. Mcbride, my name is Eddie Roberts and i have been chosen by my brother to manage him. Prior to him choosing me, i did not know how to be an artist manager. he thought that i could manage him because of my personality and honesty, and passion for music. So i have been searching for months, for people to mentor me, and i feel that you are an awesome person to teach me this craft.
