Protests getting out of hand

At approximately 5 am on Friday, November 20th, students at UC Berkeley took over a campus building (Wheeler Hall), barricading themselves inside to protest the 32 percent increase in student fees and recent custodial lay-offs. Police soon arrived to close off the building and surrounding area

The crowds of protesters you see in this video surrounding the building are joining the protest against the fee hikes and custodial layoffs as well as demanding amnesty for any student protestors facing arrest inside.

Later that evening after about a 12 hour stand off, the students inside were released in intervals and cited only for trespassing. The released students were met with cheer and applause by the outside protestors

  • Ah you have to love radical left UC Berkely and their protests. God I would of given anything to be a riot cop their, smashing commie, anti-american libtards in the face. What an awesome job to have as cops.

  • @Punkdownthestreet You're an idiot.

  • @zacjj1 That's because these students are, at their core, pussies.

  • @aznfootwork Hand on the barricade is one step away from pushing the barricade over. You're an idiot.

  • I thought you had to be smart to get into UC Berkeley?

All these kids' parents should be trying to get a refund on their tuition payments. Clearly the kids haven't learned anything, and probably never will.

  • cant believe the students were so disiplined and didnt charge the police, in england it would have most likely ended with a fight, injuries on both sides maybe fire bombs and most definately bricks and rocks thrown by protestors suppose that a key difference between our societies although use are willing to stand in harmony with each other in alot of cases in the uk we will stand up for our rights in different means e.g. police man hits you with a night stick we throw bricks

  • @NARCOPOLO76 Yes... a police force is important dumbshit

  • @Punkdownthestreet ...not really, not to obedient...watch some of the oak grove protest from a few years earlier, some good c.d. there....and they took over wheeler '60's style( columbia u.)...I like your comment about the no- where jock though, spot on with that opinion!! Thugs way back, and still thugs!!

  • no $ for education but plenty of $ to hire cops.

  • its funny how these kids behave obediently...

its funny how the cop walks around like he is tough: remember guys he was your high school jock who got no where and now "protects" you from thugs in the streets when in fact they're the thugs

and he only walks like he is tough because he has a job...

if only they knew what it was like to deal with financial hardships when it comes to voting time in Los angeles denie them money and make sure they dont get shit for their budget renewals or proposals
