Hugli has developed a rather aggressive cyst or tumour on her sweet little face. She remains happy when with people so we will continue to care for her and keep her comfortable until she tells us otherwise.
Dear Hugli has been such a wonderful friend, she deserves to be spoilt rotten for as long as she's with us.
Her little friend left us on Boxing Day and Hugli has missed her, seeming bored when outside on her own. I haven't tried to introduce any other hens to her as she immediately assumes "victim" body language so obviously isn't happy.
Please wish Hugli well for as long as she can stay. I pledge her passing when the time comes will be without trauma.
Thank you Hugli for being the best Hen-Friend I could ever have.
xx
I have seen other videos with chickens that have similar, if smaller cyst-like growths. Unfortunately, the name of the condition fails me, and I think the videos were foreign. Be that as it may - you are a good mother and friend to her - and I wish you the best of luck that a lancing if needed will ease this hen's discomfort. :) Blessings!

@megyerdon
Thank you so much, if you have time can you point me in the direction of any of the vidoes please?
She's a great friend to us - so chatty and comical. Have you seen her video of when she learned to run? Her legs were damaged on removal from the battery and she taught herself to run, bless her.
Kind Regards

Hello, it does look rotten I agree but as you can see it's not affecting her appetite! We went back to the vet again tonight having treated the lump as cancker on the advice of a chicken-owners forum and it's less angry today.
The vet said it looks the same as a fungal sinus infection that rabbits get and if it's not gone in 2 weeks he'll lance it.
Bless her little heart, if you've seen her earlier videos you 'll see what a little fighter she is. We're so lucky to have her.
