I flew with my Dad in one of those for a few days in the 70's while he was getting his seaplane rating. What a great airplane.

That nose gear comes down with a vengeance!

I would definitely recommend the nose-gear-slow-downer that is available from either Amphibians Plus or Aircraft Innovation. It keeps the nose gear from slamming up and down so hard. Worked great on my LA-4-200.
