http://u-turnusa.com Paraglider safety has jumped to a whole new level with the Cima K2. Paramotor and powered paragliding WPPGA certified equipment currently boasts zero fatalities. This video is a great example of the incredible stability of the K2 paraglider. Obviously it is not recommended that you fly a severely damaged wing but often people have a very unrealistic fear that any damage is going to cause their glider to fail. Not true with the Cima K2. As you can see about 1/3rd of the glider is completely destroyed but the K2 flies just fine. The K2 will in fact fly on less than 1/3rd of the wing. It's not that you would want to go fly a damaged wing but this should help give people a good healthy confidence that if their glider takes damage in flight or if you miss something on the ground and fly it with a big rip or something it isn't going to just stop flying. The Cima K2 is the safest and most stable glider we've ever tested. We had no concern what-so-ever at flying the damaged K2 because if you understand how they are constructed and how they are designed to fly you really gain a very high respect for the incredibly safe and stable technology that went into this paraglider and paramotoring wing. For more information on this incredible wing or the hundreds of other wings or paramotoring equipment on the market just contact the largest distributor in the world at http://u-turnusa.com or call 800-707-2525 in the USA or 801-631-1731 globally.

  • Not one should fly that wing. I once had a small roots tangled into a couple of lines on the left side of my glider that caused heavy drag onto the left. I had to fly with lot's of break, closed trim and wt shift on the right side, my motor torq is to the left. Yours is worst as you also lose a significant amount of lift on your left side but you had your torq to the right, that's useful. You can fly it becasue you are Super Dell. Don't encourage others to do it. Remember, fly safe.

  • @MalaysiaFlyingFamily Obviously we are not encouraging people to fly severely damaged wings. The point of the video is to demonstrate the new technology in the K2 makes it incredibly stable even in extreme circumstances. While other wings like you experienced can have an issue from just a few weeds in their lines the K2 will take some serious abuse and just keep on flying. The point is to help people understand how incredibly safe the K2 is so they don't have to worry and stress over things.

  • Ok interesting for sure. Here is a real world question. HOw many hours should I expect to get on a K2. I bought one from you a couple of months ago. I really have no idea what a normal life span of the wing is. What to expect?

  • @ecarter9 800+ hours should be no problem with a K2. It is built with the very latest technology material that will last 30% longer than the other materials used in the industry. So not only is it half the weight and stronger but it lasts longer as well. It is absolutely incredible material.

What happened to that K2? Did somebody accidentally grind it with the prop or something?
