  • someone who calls others "noob's" is surely not an old amiga user ;)

  • indeed, amiga users always helped each other instead of insulting others. thats what the amiga community was all about.

i'm only 17 but i had my first amiga experience with the age of 3, so my dad showed me the amiga world, and well, almost 15 years later i still remember my amiga 500 with tears in my eyes and a warm heart. great memories :)

  • @HelmerGreger Thanks for making my day. Your sense of irony and sarcasm is really priceless :)

    (You're not really serious, right?)

  • @HaquinusDeGothia Lamer wassnt used before 1996 or so as far as I know.. I might be wrong, first time I did see someone call someone else lamer on the internet was in Quake one. Lamer - Newb - Noob, the meaning is the same.. just a way to insult your opponent =)

  • @thesnake383 if your windows mod tracker supports the amiga *.mod file format, you can just load the an amiga mod into your tracker. and for example delete all the patterns and compose something new.. or save each instrument/sample you want to disk , to use in your own projects. There should be some tools out there that can rip all samples to disc in 1 go but i cant seem to find it.

  • @synvazn Speaking of which, how can I use the Amiga samples in a Windows MOD Tracker?

  • @thesnake383 Not sure if there is really a need for an Amiga VST, since its just 4 channels samples playback at 8 bit, 28khz ish. 2 channels left, 2 channels right. Basically just make your samples lo-fi or borrow a few from old mods :D

  • @V3rbat1m I sort of missed out on the whole thing. It's sort of depressing to read about how awesome it was back in the day, when know it seems so elitist. Maybe it's just being romanticized thought.

  • @V3rbat1m so sad.

  • I had an Amiga 1200 back in 1993 to 1996. Awsome machine which i will forever remember fondly.

  • Plays like a normal dos-moduleplayer: WRONG.

  • No of course, we know better than that :)

(We never insulted anyone "back then", right? LAMER! ;-)) )
