I wonder how the tracking image is stored? and same for virtual content? From Blippar's promotional material, they say virtual content appears instantly, and that this will be a "universal" AR platform. I don't see how these 2 properties can exist together. Instant appearance means the template and content would be on the device already, and universality would result in a massive amount of data. I can't imagine recognition working well when you have to search through thousands of templates...
