With my decision to start making custom knives, I decided to turn my 10X16 shed into a knife making shop. First, I have to sure up the floor and coat it with something. This is covered in Stage I. Stage II will cover the building of some new stronger doors with windows for more natural light. Stage III will be building some work benches to hold all the tools that I will have to acquire to begin knife making. I am trying to conserve as much cash as I can to save for my much needed knife grinding tools. I may insulate the shed this fall once I have the knife grinding tools I need to get started. Eventually, I'll add a cooler and heater to make it more comfortable. The Journey begins here!

  • @gatekeeper1006 Sure will Gate...won't be very long. Thanks for the help! I want some receptacles above the work benches so once I have those built, I'll be ready.

  • @BTSchnauzers

Let me know when you're ready/reach that stage. Be planning where you will place the equipment to know where the receptacles will go, and any lights and switches.

  • @gatekeeper1006 Hey I might take you up on that Gate! I'll need some electrical advice soon!

  • @LegendSexy Yeah thats great Legend...I'll let ya know as soon as I have something worthy to show!

  • Awesome! Im a huge knife nut. I cant wait to add a Pinto one to my colleciton.

  • Looks like a good start on repurposing the shed.

Don't hire someone to wire it, you can do it... theres nothing to it.

I can talk you through it. I bet a 60 amp service/breaker box would be about right.
