This is definitely a rip off of The Beatles psychedelia such as "Strawberry Fields Forever", "Penny Lane", and the Sgt. Pepper album. This was a period when the Stones lacked musical direction and were just copying The Beatles. John Lennon said, to paraphrase, Wait a month, and The Rolling Stones would copy whatever The Beatles did. "Norwegian Wood" becomes "Paint It Black" Sgt. Pepper becomes Their Satanic Majesties Request. They even ripped off the cover for that one.

@onizu42 you are so right! most yt vis for that song look like some 13year old made them.

@woodcuttersgypsy Despite rumours, none of The Beatles performs on this track. Backing vocals were by Jagger and Richards.

The strings on this Stones song were arranged by John Paul Jones. It was 2 years before he joined Led Zeppelin and he was doing session work. Also, listen carefully and you'll hear John, Paul, George and Ringo singing the "la-la-la" background vocal on this song. masterpiece.
