  • This doesn't really sound like true "gagaku" music to me, but I really like it.

  • I could try to upload another one sometime.

  • To quote an episode of the X-files.

"4.5 billion years from now, when the earth has been engulfed by the sun, this music will still be out there to stand as a triumph of the human race, unless it is intercepted."

The comment refers to the bach piece on the record however.

  • Write to the hand cause the face ain't reading

  • "Tsuru No Sugomori" ("Crane's Nest,") performed by Goro Yamaguchi. One of the 27 tunes included on the Voyager Interstellar Spacecraft record.

  • I'm glad this is travelling towards the stars.

  • It's a rarity to find TRADITIONAL JAPANESE SHAKUHACHI unspoiled music like this. No music with synthesizers. I wish there was more like this. Can anybody give me suggestions?

  • This song deserve its place on Voyager Golden record!!! Respect from Bulgaria

  • Sorry - " TSURO no Sugomori".

I have three recordings of this piece and I enjoy this one more then those.

If you can see who's playing here please reply and tell me, thank you.

  • This is a great rendition of Tsu no Sugumori !

Please , who's playing the Shakuhachi here? who's the genius musician?

  • Yes, it's quite awe-inspiring. I recently saw an interesting BBC documentary about geology, and to think that just such a thing as the earth phenomena plate tectonics actually act as a co2 recycling element preventing the surface of the earth becoming led melting hot like venus and thus unable to support life. There are these crucial to life-elements everywhere you look although one so often overlooks them.

  • The chance of Life being on earth and the act of earth being a "perfect" place for life to have evolved is 1 in 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000 or somthing.I swear im not exaggerating. But we can do thing to affect chance to work in our favor.
