Azmi Bishara is right about 1948 war, speaking on behalf of those few Arabs that hated Jews.. But the majority of Arabs were in love their Jews brothers,
and they were  fighting for the rights of their brothers Jews, so humiliated during WWII ... and they where so in love with Jews that once some clashes started between them and their Jews brothers ... they decided to leave the country just to give some place to breath to their Jews brothers ...

arabianpenn, I think Zionism never asked you to give up Palestine, Zionism demanded rights for Jews to live on land that was Israel in the past ... it doesn't mean give up that land ... it has nothing to do with give up ... Is the land is property of Arabs? Does it belong to them? Why? Arabs created it or what? There is no land for Arabs to live? Arabs have problem with land? 1/4 of the world land is under Arabs control ... not enough? It was Ottoman empire land anyway, then British land ...
