I love green day's music but i don't like how all the people who like pop music like it and think its cool and that, thats why i prefer bands like feeder.

@confinedspace2006 if you're just going to create a big box labeled "poppy indie guitar bands" and put everyone together then you might as well compare Green Day to the Beatles or the Rolling Stones... And even if their music has similarities, I don't think we should try to compare any bands in terms of "Better than... " and "Worse than..." and that's my main point actually: don't act like it's a competition.

@purebusiness11 Jon Lee was the original drummer in the band, he committed suicide in his New-York apartment back in 2002, if my memory doesn't lie... The band almost stopped after this shock but they finally came to the conclusion that Jon would most probably want them to continue even though he wasn't there anymore. I don't believe anyone has ever given any explanation on to why he did commit suicide, by the way.
