One of the classiest ball players ever to play America's pasttime. A team player and leader, he hit for power, and man, could he flash some leather at 1st base. I've been a long time Yank fan, but my jersey proudly sports the #24, to this day.

Mmmm! What isn't there to love about this guy? Great defensive player, hit for power, team leader, no off-field drama, quiet intensity...he's a baseball fan's dream. And add to that, he's not exactly hard to look at (with respect, Mrs. M)
I miss the days of watching #24 at first. How the Yankees could let him go to make room for Giambi is beyond me...one of the stupidest moves Cashman has made (and he's made plenty!)
