Tea Superpowers - Calm-A-Sutra of Tea Scholarship Competition 2009

This video was shot entirely with a Canon 500D T1i. I used Adobe After Effects for the special effects tricks and Adobe Premiere Pro to add the clips together and edit sound. Everything was done by me aside from some help from my family to push buttons and stand in so I could focus, etc. I read and watched a bunch of tutorials on how to do special effects tricks on after effects, which were a huge help. If you posted a tut and recognize the effect.. thank you very much. This was my FIRST time ever using After Effects. I like it quite a bit and can see myself utilizing it a lot more in the future. The car lifting was a car on an hydrolic jack, and lowered real fast. In post-production I just played it in reverse along with some time tweaks.

The jumping onto the building was real fun.. and scary. I had a high jump mat below me and walked off the nearly 6 meter building backwards. I made sure to use my arms in a way that would make sense for the reverse. I played that one in reverse too.

my secret for that effect was a hydrolic jack... that dropped the car real fast and I played the video in reverse. This was so much fun to make.. I want to do it over.
