leno is a terrible comic. Hes a backstabber too. Letterman supported Leno, and Carson picked Letterman as his successor, and Leno stole the job from under him. Then, he acts like a jackass with Conan. Retiring, failing at his new time slot, and kicking Conan off his dream show for what reason? lenos a piece of shit

Enjoyed the car story... Was just watching Letterman last night talk about the entire NBC thing. He still has no love for Leno. I thought it was pretty derogatory, seemed like he was making little attempt at being funny.

You can see some of the edge is off Leno's material here, probably from years as being the number two guy to Carson at 10:30. Gone are the biting denunciations of corporations as are the jabs at hick Americans, who now, after all, form a chunk of his audience at 10:30. He buys his father a souped up car, and instead of flying some nightmare airline, he flies one patronized only by the rich. He doesn't need to scratch and claw his way to the top anymore. He's made it.

Leno is great. What a classic piece of footage. Most of his stand up and interviews are great though.
