God Bless You, George! You may be gone, but will NEVER be forgotten! I am personally grateful to have had the prviledge of marching on the same field with George nearly 30 years ago, and was forever inspired by his energy, enthusiam, and love of music and performance. Thank you, bigticket233, for sharing this most poignant video of George's "final curtain"-- "His way" was unforgettably awesome!

Thank you again for posting this. I can't believe it's been a year. This is only the second time I've muscled my way through it, and even though I'm watching it from a different angle, I see it as I was on the field. We miss him every day. Most importantly, thank you so much for all of your support. We cannot thank you enough.
With Pride,
Rachael UMMB '08-current

I am a current member of the cuyahoga falls marching band and I would personally like to say i was very fortunante to witness this amazing band when they visited. I may have only mett George Parks that night, but what an inspiring impact he left on all of us. Ill never forget the following morning at school, our band went out for 1 more practice befor our up and coming parade. As we marched down the street the umass band stopped loading thier busses, lined the street, and clapped and cheered us

Thank you so much for everything you did for us, I can't tell you how sincerely it was appreciated! George Parks will always live on in the bands he's made and the people he has changed. He was a force of nature and I miss him so much, but he's also changed my life more than I ever thought possible and made me into a better human being. I miss Mr. Parks and I feel like he would have wanted us to be great and to live our lives to the fullest every day that we can
Eyes with Pride, always

Hello to all the people in Ohio who helped our kids in the Band. Such a hard thing to watch from so far away while our son was out there with the UMMB. I heard ( not from my own son , of course ..) of all the time and engery spent by the community, offering time, support and food... Thank you so so much. We have always felt so secure knowing that Mr Parks was keeping an eye on our kid, and you all stepped in for him ! ! !
You are truly welcome to all of the UMass family out there. We had so many alumni that requested this on here to view. Also on facebook/black tiger nation is our fan page with pictures and the entire show that your band gave us.. Your band truly inspired us all here
