@AccordGTR West "assaulted" no one. He held a pistol next to a jihadist's head and fired it to scare the crap out of him. He was trying to get information about roadside bombs that would save American lives. West is a hero. He has more guts and common sense than the entire state department. O boo hoo. @TheROFLcopter66 By Aug 2003 (the incident) Iraq War was counterinsurgency (COIN). US has many experiences from Philippine Insurrection 1899 to Vietnam - You win the war by "winning hearts and minds", using local support to do your fighting. West was IGNORANT of this COIN strategy and tactics. HATEFUL cuz he believed ALL Iraqi's were trying to kill him and his men. WAR CRIMINAL cuz Geneva Convention and US military conduct doesn't allow torture or threatening detainees.

@AccordGTR Alright, so maybe you are aware of the facts. But explain why you would call him an ignorant, hateful, war criminal, because the way I see it, he was more worried about safeguarding the lives the men under his command, rather than worrying about following the rules that could keep his men in danger. That right there shows he is not an ignorant, hateful, war criminal.
