how do you calculate the distance from the earth to the sun?
-
Mars became an Earth just because the Sun grew larger. Unless by then we somehow terraformed it, this would be impossible.

Lol. Admit it. You ripped this to get views ;P ( Not that i didn't lol )

could the planets stay up or would they just fall some where into space? Would jupiter be sort of like the new sun having all the surviving planets orbit around it? some one plz answer.....

as i am trying to see if titan, one of saturn satillites will be able to be our second home and since the sun will be a red giant i think titan will be in a favourable place like earth. since titan has the ingrediants for life. and the red giant sun will give it all the heat it needs for at least 2.5 billion years...thx for the info steve

NO DISRESPECT - but I'm calling Trinny and Susannah...
Seriously.
Nice video anyway.
how many years will the sun stay in its red giant form? does anybody know pls?

I heard recently that the sun would be entering it's red giant phase sometime in the next 2 billion years (though things will start getting distinctly hotter in about 1 billion years). Considering the Sun has about 4.5 billion years left, the red giant phase would last ~2.5 billion years.
