    Then you were very lucky. Any determined thief with a pair of bolt cutters or a hacksaw would have no problem going through 4 cables. Adding more would deter the thief longer, but that is neither cost, nor time effective. Use cables only for auxiliary security, such as locking the front wheel or seat, and use a strong u lock or heavy chain with a good padlock for you rear wheel and frame.

  • the first one he shows that can b cut to easily i use 4 of them i loop on thru the front tire one thru thr back one thru the frame and one thru pedel and frame if im leaving it tjere for the day and icame bck one time n 2 of them had deep cuts into them n my bike survived u can buy a 4 pack for like 15 bucks

  • U-Locks can be broken with a Sizzer Jack. Big chains work well. Use a number of locking mechanisms and Use your head when choosing a place to lock your bike too.
