This is not stupid, it's for people with eating disorders. Obviously, it WOULD be stupid for a person without eating problems to buy this.

This isn't stupid at all.

I've been at such an eatingdisorder clinic, and it's helped me in so many ways.

You're supposed to loose the control over what you eat,

and this machine only accept the decided weight of food

and analyze how much you eat of it.

So in some way, it becomes one kind of safety, because you won't "cross the line" at the same time as one learns how to eat at a normal tempo and take enough big bites of the food. :)

I'm thankful to them, because they saved my life

@klugyboy This is being used in inpatient programs for people with eating disorders. It's not stupid. Some people are so disordered, they don't know how to eat normal.

This can help people with eating disorders learn to eat properly, they have unlearned skills that most people take for granted and so far it is proving very useful, think of all the hospital beds NOT taken by obese or underweight eating disordered individuals, it can only be a good thing
