Another interesting body shape here from those creative chaps at Schecter, the Schecter Ultra-Bass is kind of an amalgamation of several different guitar and bass models that has been tastefully integrated to create this unique and cool looking body shape ...

The body of the Schecter Ultra Bass uses Mahogany with a raised center piece whilst the neck is multi-laminate Maple and Walnut and hosts a 22 fret Rosewood fretboard that has cream inlaid dot markers .

Sound comes courtesy of the two EMG TBHZ Custom Passive Soapbar pick-ups which in turn are managed by two volume and a single tone rotary knobs. The Schecter Ultrabass's large TOM Bass bridge transfers the string vibration uniquely through the body giving the bass a classic mid-range 70's tone and the instrument has an immaculately applied two tone brown sunburst finish ...

The bass plays very well and would suit a wide range of styles as it successfully combines retro styling with modern sounds. Very nice indeed.

@bonovox96 The genuine Gibson, or the Epiphone? The Epiphone is very muddy, from owning one; the Gibson slightly more richer, but not by much. From this demo this one sounded a lot clearer, more hi/mids - couldn't see his amp settings, mind.

i am planning on buying this bass soon, does anybody have this guitar/ i was wondering how this bass feels as far as the body and the slightly higher spot in the middle does this get in the way or dig into your hand. and how is the sustain??
