  • as you might know sufism is about peace and love, and in many citys in the middle east the goverment wouldnt allow people to practice sufi gaterings,so sufi gaterings where held illegally, and anyone who got caught got punished.thats why the men would go somewhere undergrond, and hold sufi qawwali and zikr functions.untill a few years ago, times have changed now,we can practice freely now, hence less women, but numbers are growing daily.hope that is a bit clearer.

  • Why are woman typically not allowed to attend nor sing at Qawwali parties? That seems pretty sexist.

  • you have to try and understand the history of qawwali and sufism, once you have a better insight, you will come to find it has nothing to do with being sexest.

  • i like this video, very emotionaly impressed

  • this is just awesume.........

  • nice bunch of youngstars, god bless them...

  • this Qawali is one of the super Qawali song, very nice. please dont and never remove it from the site.

Thank you so much for puting this Qawali song in Youtube site. Thank you

  • By excluding woman from a celebration that, from my understanding, is blissful does on the surface APPEAR sexist (I'm not saying it IS, just that it's how it seems). Me asking 'why' is my attempt at understanding, at gaining insight.. So, where is my answer? I WANT to have a better insight so please enlighten me. Thank-you!=)

  • I hope my comment didn't offend as that was not my intention. I wasn't assuming it was sexist, just saying it SEEMS that way. It is pretty understandable that it would appear that way to me because the culture that I grew up in is one where woman have the right to participate in just about any activity that men can.
