this is just a ceiba tree on the 9th of july avenue in buenos aires. from a distance the things look like balls of feathers.

  • I have a 6 year old ceiba tree, but mine blooms some pink purplelish flowers. Its my favorite one. I really dig those thorns. : )

  • Ceiba or silk cotton tree is my favorite tree as I have a special connection with it growin up as a child, playing with friends, flying kites, taking rest underneath it , collecting fallen flowers and even the cotton and making pillows out of it. And I have not seen a tree that size, its bigger than any of the ones I have seen on the net so far.

  • It's a very primitive tree, as the "Palo borracho".

    Another interesting tree is the "ombú", which is interesting because is not a tree, but a herb.
