Colorado Company Lays Off 100 Muslims

http://www.EmploymentCrossing.com After a week long dispute, 100 Muslim workers were terminated at JBS Swift, a Greeley, Colorado meat packing company. Roughly 250 Muslim workers at JBS Swift were suspended after walking off the job when not allowed to take breaks to pray during Ramadan. The Muslim holiday, started on September 1st, and the plants workers are citing discrimination, harassment, along with unfair and unethical work conditions on the side of JBS Swift. Greeley, a town of 90,000, is home to JBS Swift, which employs 400 there, 250 of which are from a Muslim background. In 2006, the plant lost nearly 260 Latino employees who were deported because they were working as illegal immigrants. The hole was filled by a population of Muslim immigrants moving to the area to work. The current situation has caused a company rift between Muslim and Non-Muslim employees. The United Food and Commercial Workers Union is fighting the layoffs, citing an unjust grounds for terminations, and little notice for workers to get back to their jobs.

I worked here for the last year. Let me start by saying that was an excuse. The muslims wipe their ass with ther bare hand, lighly rinse in the sink and then drink from the palm of their hand. Since their religion wont allow them alcohol...they dont staralize their hands. Tehy dont eat meat so they dont care who gets sick. Not to mention the praying is just out of control!
