  • Okay- let me get in on this. I grew up using the term "cotton picking" as a substitute for cursing. We were forbidden to even use the term "durn", so we all used terms like "cotton picking", "John Browned", and "plague-taken" instead of G--D----ed, F-----g, mother------g, etc. "Cotton picking" has nothing whatsoever to do with actual cotton picking. And for whatever it's worth, I know a lot more white folks who actually picked cotton, myself included, than black. Peace out, folks.

  • "How come he gets away with this non-sense and not Jeremiah wright???!? fuckin CNN man!!"

Tell me where Rev. Wright has been censored or fired or anything like that for saying anything? I never saw that. Last I knew he was on TV every night for the past week being given the chance ot give his point of view. You must have dreamed up the part where someone tried to stop him from speaking his mind, because it has yet to happen.

  • @fordtruxdad I agree bro cept back in the slavery era, there were a lot moreeee slaves who picked cotton. Lot more. For a while. But I realize now Dobbs wasn't trying to say anything racist, he was just using his own way of saying fucking.

  • @cardabanks It just means they were mad at the crooks in office at the time. But it was easy to predict this in the early weeks of the Obama administration.

  • @cardabanks I had made the statement, way back then, that the country generally does NOT have a "liberal mood" (majority speaking). You said the election of Obama proved we did. I said that simply proved we were sick of the Bush regime, but all polls and stats indicate the majority of the country leans conservative.

This election also is a lot of backlash (vs the dems this time), which always happens. So just because there is a backlash election doesn't mean everyone changes their beliefs.

  • @tobiasrobbins72 yes i noticed what happened, but give me your take on it.

  • @cardabanks Did you notice what happened in the elections?

  • LOU DRUGS!

  • If I was Lou, I would have went ahead and said "cotton Picking" politicians. He wasn't saying it in a racist way such as saying nigger or niggers. It's an expression lots of people use... those damn cotton picking faggots in San Fransico are gonna give all the spics aids. See, it's not racist, it's just a common expression. Freedom of speech Baby, it comes before your feelings. Call me cracker and I won't cry, call me honky and it won't stop me from functioning. Get over you nappy headed ho's!

  • Amer are ambiguous we are evolving. TY God

So U are saying the Nation does not have a Liberal mood?

When U say majority of Amer. are conservatives which Amer are you referring to? Because if most of them were we would not have a Dem Admin in office.

I can not speak for all Amer like your self but I can relate to some. A lot of Amer have conservative ideologies but vote to the center left. Which makes them a Liberal Dem by default

I am a fiscally conservative socialist independent voter!

  • Liberal mood of the nation? That is nonsense. Every poll indicates that the majority of Americans are conservative to moderate. Liberal is the minority. That statement illustrates my point about the dishonesty of MSNBC.

The current strength of the Democratic party has come as a backlash against the Repiblican party. Those parties are NOT synonymous with "liberal" or "conservative."

Fox is blatanly right wing & gets far higher numbers than MSNBC & CNN combined.

  • MSNBC can be 1 sided, but I feel it is an honest side in reflecting the liberal mood of the nation. In comparison to CNN who postulates to be a Liberal station but secretly widening the social divide. Perpetuating the status quo. Bamboozling

Fox news on the other hand is blatant with their sly/dishonest tactics. But I would rather see a fox as a fox versus a fox in sheeps clothing. It does seem as if certain fox shows are becoming a lil bit more bipartisan

I watch MSNBC then FOX then CNN
