Inhalt:

Content:
This film shows a portrait of two women from Berlin and Brandenburg who grew up in Lebanon. In order to gain a better understanding of the conflict between Israel and Lebanon in 2006 they visit their home-country and give us an insight of the situation after the war which is often characterized by despair and innumerable questions.
We come to know their individual impressions and experiences: both during public art-actions in Berlin for a cease-fire (summer 2006) and during their voyage to Lebanon (Oct. 2006).
Houda Pätz (36 years); painter; living in Dreetz/Brandenburg and Chaza Charafeddine (40 years); author; living in Berlin as well as their relatives, friends and strangers from Germany and Lebanon) tell us their points of view which are unfamiliar to us and not always verifiable.
The film visualizes what Lebanon represents: hope or hopelessness; the victims of the war; the pattern for Iraq, Sarajevo, Grosny, and maybe more countries to come.
This film does not only show the current situation in Lebanon but the wounds and terrors of war in general.
By accompanying these two women we get to know the anxieties which they and other affected people have.
Finally the film shows how badly a blooming country is now suffering from misery as well as the epic art of two polyglot Lebanese women who are living in Germany.
