@greenpartyfan: Parliamentarians in Ukraine, South Korea and Taiwan have come to blows in the past, and I hope the same thing never happens in Canada. It's time for politicians around the world to learn that disagreements over policy shouldn't result in name-calling, shouting across the aisle separating the government and opposition benches, or fistfights.
@gundamWWW: Rae's new party, let's not forget, voted WITH the Harper Conservatives on many bills during Conservative minority rule. In May's federal election, voters kicked the Liberals off the Official Opposition benches, and into a corner of the House, and Michael Ignatieff out of Stornoway. Although the Cons now have a majority, which is dangerous for Canada, they didn't have far to go to get it, while the Liberals are in serious turmoil from which they may never fully recover.
There's no question the Conservative tough-on-crime mantra is failing Canadians. Bob Rae's point about being "tough on the causes of crime" is an important one, although his new party lacks a lot of credibility on that file. Remember how the Liberal Party of Canada cut back a lot of government programs in the 1990s, so that the people who could use income from such programs to get themselves back on their feet have had to find other means for far too long? It's a good question to ask.
The same offending literature is being used in the Guelph by-election campaign. Just as insulting the second time around. You would think the Conservatives would learn from a fourth place finish.
Thankyou Chris and Bob...again i commented earlier on a different video about Chris...a very good speaker: very articulate and clear...im very impressed!
wonderful video. bob is absolutely right about the neoconservative rhetoric of the conservative party adn chris, right on about discourse in parliament, where is the transparency?

3:05 Don Meredith trying to pass the blame for his own campaign garbage on to the Liberals.
So a Liberal government is responsible for homocides? Try proving that in a courtroom.
Don Meredith is just a political hack working for Stephen Harper.
He got trounced in the election so he got put into the Senate.
