On October 20, 2007 the students and families were the honored guests at a fall fun-filled afternoon sponsored by the Claymore Shop in Birmingham, Michigan. Over 150 people enjoyed painting pumpkins, creating Halloween crafts, tattoos, cider, donuts, cookies and coffee.
The event was designed to raise awareness of Kids Kicking Cancer, raise money for the organization, and provide a fun day for our families free from medical treatments.
A highlight of the afternoon included a powerful martial arts demonstration from our Kids Kicking Cancer students. Our KKC students also led area martial arts students from Malota's Martial Arts, Banister Karate and Plowden Martial Arts in the Kids Kicking Cancer power breathing. Students from Malota's, Banister's and Plowden's martial arts also performed martial arts demonstrations for our Kids Kicking Cancer students.
Ten percent of all merchandise purchased at the Claymore Shop that day was donated back to Kids Kicking Cancer.
A wonderful day was had by all, and we thank everyone from the community that made this day possible!
This video is so inspiring and it shows how these kids are using every fighting chances to defeat cancer!
