It not only looks, sounds and appears as a 250. It was made as a 250 and it is exactly a 1983 250 spider.
If it would have been a 490 it would have had a 490 engine instead of the 250 engine. It is not a 78 or 79 either. They didn't have 1983 frames and engines available that early.
