There's a brilliant video on line in which Hitchens responds to exactly that script.

i would have liked to see the lecturer also say to the person whos asking see youve broken all these commandments your obviously bad, then you could say, well how come you havent asked me about all the nice things ive done, if you only ask me about bad things then how is it possible to find out if im a good person, then you can say, do you agree that a good person is someone who tries to be good more then bad, then the creationist should be able to see how stupid their question is.

If you really feel that your faith is so righteous and infallible, why on earth would you be threatened by a silly childish line like that?
And, again, I wasn't making an argument. I was expressing how it is where I go to school and how I get annoyed by having to hear about it. It's almost a daily occurrence.
What evidence is there for atheism? I don't have any, but I'm not the one trying to get people to believe in an intangible deity. The burden of proof doesn't lie with me.

"from what I've seen they tend to evangelize through the internet or through radio and television"
Agreed, but the internet is a medium that you can seek out information. You don't have to read/see Muslim sites/videos, do you?
I was saying that I get tired of walking to class, minding my own business and having to listen to some guy scream about how we're all dirty sinners and must repent, etc etc etc.
They can pray and worship to their hearts content. Just keep me out of it!
xtrashed, You don't want fairness, you want atheist to shut-up and go away. Your message is broadcast 24/7 on countless television and radio stations. Most movies, tv programs, books, etc., have a religious message. Many of the talk show people go on and on about god this, or god that. And this time of year it's even worse. So yes, it would be nice to walk down the street without being accosted by, or having to listen to the ranting of some overzealous follower of christ.

No, it's right where it belongs...in the education category, since they're educating fellow atheists on how to deal with moronic theists and their inane, baseless religious rants.
I really wish *a LOT* more atheists would hold seminars/lectures like this...we need to strengthen our front-line defenses against the stupidity of religion.
