The legendary Alan Moore interviewed by LJ Pindling of Street Law Productions. Part One: An out-take in which Alan reflects upon a possible alternative to his writing career. I've included this, because to my mind it shows what an affable (and very human) guy Alan is. We kept the camera rolling throughout - through all the natural breaks and interruptions - it was an informal, laid-back affair.
Interviewed on 27 June 2008 in Spring Boroughs, Northampton, England.

  • @kurono1999 No, Miller is simply shit. But yes, Moore is the best comic book writer.

  • @joker9494949494 Yes he has actually, see Neonomicon, and The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen Century: 1969. Lost Girls was one of my favorites, we'll just have to agree to disagree about that, being that I loved it's themes and Melinda Gebbie's art.

  • @cha5 he hasnt made anything in the 21at yet. we'll have to see with "Xerxes". but look at lost girls, that book was just horrible. I'm angry at the artists Moore is left with because he could use so much better artists.

  • @joker9494949494 If you haven't read DK Strikes Again and his run on All Star Batman well,

you might better check them out "What are you retarded or something? I'm the Goddamn Batman" Miller's work in the 1980s was groundbreaking no question,

I mean Elektra Assassin, The Dark Knight Returns, Year One all masterworks. but his 21st Century work just isn't in the same caliber IMHO.

  • @joker9494949494 Actually V For Vendetta is a reaction against Thatcher era policies, it came out in 1981 two years after the iron lady came into office

"At the same time we had elements of facism starting to make themselves prevalent upon the streets of Britain with the rise of the national front, and all in all things were looking fairly bleak"

    'Alan Moore Storyteller'

It resembles a black & white noir more than anything, but just about every character has shades of gray.

  • @cha5 well ive never read DK strikes again. Sin City 1-7, Ronin, Daredevil's run, DK returns, Batman year one, 300, all are great for what they are. he's a wonderful writer and his stuff is very original. Moores V for Vendetta was an obvious 1984 spin off or a what if.

  • @joker9494949494 He's more derivative these days, I mean The Dark Knight Strikes Again?

and Miller's Spirit movie? :-P I'm just glad Batman VS Osama Bin Laden never got off the ground.

  • @kurono1999 at least miller was original..
