what nationality is the name from? Hispanic? Portuguese?

uhm.. her name sounds Hispanic. or maybe Portuguese or Romanian. Given "white" in the US mostly refers to Anglo Saxon heritage I am not sure she is.
Besides - "white" Americans most often have Scandinavian, Slavic, European Mediterranean, Dutch, German etc heritage. How is that not "ethnic"?!
Also many rather fair skinned Arabs refer to themselves as "white". Will you exclude Arabs or Turks from ethnic dance festivals?! Slavic people? Mediterranean people? I don't get your comment.
